If you’re comfortable with working remotely and using the internet you can apply for micro jobs that take between a day and 2 weeks to complete. Create profiles on sites like Freelancer, 5iver, Upwork or People Per hour and see the list of micro jobs available at any time then apply if you feel you could competently complete the requested task.
If you’re not a creative or a techy you can use sites like Uber and drive part time or full time to make some extra money.
2. Rent out a room
Through websites like Gumtree or AirBnB, you can advertise a spare room for rent and you can probably cut a deal in minutes if you are reasonable on rates and get someone to fill that empty room and put cash in your pocket.
3. Use classifieds to sell your unwanted goods
If there unused items sitting around the house, what are you keeping them around for? It’s money sitting around, you can easily sell them and make some extra cash. You can list these items on Facebook groups, Gumtree or OLX, advertise on your community bulletin boards like, or have a garage sale. There are also stores that specialise in buying in second-hand goods that you can approach should you not wish to deal with the general public.
4. Freelance
Freelancing is a great way to take a hobby or acquired job skill and put it to use making extra money. Content writers, photographers, videographers and more can offer their services online or through your network of firends and co-workers and make some cash doing these in between gigs.
Tip: Offer a lower price than what you see there so you can get a few clients quickly.
5. Participate in paid surveys and focus groups
If you have serious opinions about things and have the time to share your thoughts you can get paid for paid surveys. There are plenty of research companies constantly looking for participants and would gladly pay for your contributions.
These surveys and focus groups can be done in person while some companies allow you to complete them online. These surveys represent one of the easiest ways to make money and there are plenty of them out there. But this also presents the problem of scamming so make sure these companies have a legitimate track record.
